Dr Richardi Niccoli
Principal Dentist / Owner
Driven by precision and purpose, Dr Richardi leads Maxicare Dental with a confidence that reflects
the true meaning of Maximum Care.
Dr Richardi Niccoli has 28 years of experience in dentistry. He graduated in Brazil and spent the first ten years of his career practicing general dentistry and orthodontics in Brazil’s biggest city, Sao Paulo. In 2006, Dr Niccoli migrated to Australia and not long after that he joined a 10 month “Overseas Trained Dentist’s Program” held at the University of Otago to help him to successfully pass the rigorous Dental Board exams allowing him the desired Dental Registration in both, Australia and New Zealand. With a special interest in Orthodontics, Dr Niccoli completed a comprehensive 2-year Orthodontics Series Course, further honing his skills and expertise in this area. He is passionate about providing patients with beautiful, healthy smiles and stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field. In December 2016, Dr Niccoli became the owner of Maxicare Dental and his goal since has been to make his surgery a family practice where patients can trust and be safe. Dr Niccoli enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, updates himself regularly and likes explaining treatment plans as well as answering any questions you may have.
Away from the practice, Dr Niccoli enjoys outdoor activities with his wife, his adorable young kids and friends.
Dr Paula Niccoli
Senior Dentist / Owner
Gentle by nature and meticulous by craft, Dr Paula brings warmth and detail together to make every patient feel genuinely cared for.
Dr Paula Niccoli is Dr Richardi Niccoli’s wife and has 25 years of experience in dentistry. She migrated to Australia in 2006 with him after working 6 years in Brazil as a general practitioner. Dr Paula Niccoli also obtained her dental degree from Camilo Castelo Branco University in Brazil in 2000, where they actually met. She also joined the 10 month “Overseas Trained Dentist’s Program” held at the University of Otago and successfully passed the New Zealand Dental Exam which allowed her to work in New Zealand and Australia.
Firstly, she worked for Queensland Health in Bundaberg where she had a wonderful time and in 2013 she moved to the Sunshine Coast and started working in the private section. Paula’s primary goal is to care for her patients in a fun, relaxed and gentle manner with special interest in cosmetic dentistry, crowns and bridges and children. Dr Niccoli attends dental conferences and courses regularly to update her dental knowledge. She has two children, Lucas 10 years old and Emily 11 years old. She enjoys spending time with her children and husband and loves her holidays in Brazil with all her family. Dr Niccoli has a wide variety of patients since she also speaks portuguese.
Dr Najara Barry

With a compassionate and gentle approach, Dr Najara delivers dentistry grounded in trust, comfort, and genuine connection.
Dr Narjara Barry graduated in 2006 from Federal University of Ceara, one of the most respected universities in Brazil with a Dentistry degree. Over the first 13 years of her career, she worked in both – private and public sector; including seven years at the Brazilian Air Force, practicing General Dentistry, Prosthodontics and Dental Implants. This provided her skills and experience in General Dentistry, Emergency Treatment and Oral Rehabilitation, improving her patients’ oral health and self confidence.
In 2019, Narjara migrated to Australia, and joined the caring Maxicare Dental’s family, which provided her an understanding of Dentistry in Australia and the support to undertake the rigorous Australian dental practitioner assessment process. Late in 2022, she satisfied all the requirements of the Australian Dental Council and is now proudly registered as a Dentist in Australia.
Narjara is committed to provide gentle and compassionate care, taking a personalised approach as she recognises that each patient and their smiles are unique. Outside the clinic, Narjara recently became mum to adorable Victoria. She loves spending time with her fiancé John and family, walking their dog Kora on the beach, travelling, camping and playing with their cats, Gazza and Goldie.
